ZPK Antibody (473CT23.12.5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects ZPK protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-ZPK antibody (473CT23.12.5) is available as a non-conjugated format. ZPK, also known as leucine-zipper protein kinase, MUK, or DLK, is a serine/threonine kinase characterized by two potential leucine-zipper motifs, which are crucial for protein-protein interactions. ZPK is highly conserved across species, particularly between humans and mice, and is predominantly expressed in brain and kidney, highlighting its importance in these critical organs. ZPK′s cell type-specific expression extends to epithelial compartments of various organ systems, including stomach, liver, and pancreas, suggesting a role in development and maintenance of specialized cells within these tissues. ZPK functions as a negative regulator of cell growth, with expression levels correlating with growth response of hepatocyte subpopulations during liver regeneration. ZPK has been shown to activate JNK/SAPK signaling pathway, which is essential for various cellular processes, including stress responses and apoptosis. ZPK′s ability to modulate these pathways underscores its significance in cellular signaling and potential implications in disease states, making ZPK (473CT23.12.5) monoclonal antibody a valuable research tool for studying these mechanisms.
