    SEE ALSO...

ZPI Antibody (F-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ZPI protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ZPI (F-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ZPI, also known as SERPINA10, is a 444 amino acid secreted protein primarily produced in the liver and plays a crucial role as a Protein Z-dependent protease inhibitor. ZPI is essential for regulating blood coagulation, as ZPI inhibits activated pro-coagulation factors X and XI in the presence of calcium and phospholipids, thereby preventing excessive clot formation and maintaining hemostatic balance. ZPI is a member of the serpin protein family and features five potential N-linked glycosylation sites, with a critical tyrosine residue at position 387; disruption of this residue can lead to loss of function. Deficiencies or mutations in ZPI can increase the risk of venous thrombosis, highlighting ZPI′s importance in vascular health.

What blocking solution should I use with ZPI (F-12): sc-393486 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
