    SEE ALSO...

ZnT-5 Antibody (2F10-2B8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects ZnT-5 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ZnT-5 antibody (2F10-2B8) is available as a non-conjugated format. ZnT-5, also known as SLC30A5, ZNTL1, or ZTL1, is a crucial zinc transporter consisting of 765 amino acids that plays a vital role in maintaining zinc homeostasis within cellular compartments, particularly in the trans-Golgi network. ZnT-5 is essential for regulating intracellular supply of zinc, which is necessary for various cellular functions, including enzyme activity and transcription factor regulation. ZnT-5 is predominantly expressed in the liver, pancreas, and kidney, where ZnT-5 facilitates zinc transport into vesicles and the Golgi apparatus, thereby contributing to processes such as insulin crystallization in pancreatic beta cells. ZnT-5 is expressed in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, and ZnT-5 expression is significantly upregulated in response to zinc depletion, highlighting an adaptive role in cellular zinc management.
