    SEE ALSO...

ZNF774 Antibody (E-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ZNF774 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ZNF774 Antibody (E-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ZNF774 consists of 483 amino acids and is characterized by 12 C2H2-type zinc fingers and a KRAB domain, which are crucial for transcriptional regulation. Located primarily in the nucleus, ZNF774 belongs to the Krüppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family, known for DNA binding and gene expression modulation. The KRAB domain of ZNF774 interacts with KAP1, a corepressor that recruits histone-modifying proteins, influencing chromatin structure and gene accessibility. This interaction regulates genes associated with various developmental and neurological disorders, as defects in genes located on human chromosome 15, where ZNF774 is encoded, are linked to conditions such as Angelman syndrome and Prader-Willi syndrome. ZNF774′s ability to modulate transcriptional activity maintains cellular homeostasis and regulates developmental processes, making anti-ZNF774 antibody (E-2) valuable for studying gene regulation and associated pathologies.

What blocking solution should I use with ZNF774 (E-2): sc-515778 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
