ZNF133 Antibody (9V2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ZNF133 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-ZNF133 antibody (9V2) is available as a non-conjugated format. ZNF133 protein, also known as Zinc finger protein 133 or ZNF150, is a crucial transcriptional regulator composed of 654 amino acids and is expressed in various human tissues, including heart, brain, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney, and pancreas. ZNF133 includes a Krüppel-type DNA-binding domain and a KRAB domain. The KRAB domain interacts with KAP1, facilitating recruitment of histone-modifying proteins that play a vital role in chromatin remodeling and gene expression regulation. This interaction underscores ZNF133′s importance in transcriptional repression, as the KRAB domain functions as a potent transcriptional repression domain, with activity potentially enhanced by Protein Inhibitor of Activated STAT Protein 1 (PIAS1). ZNF133′s ability to modulate gene expression through these mechanisms highlights relevance in various biological processes and potential implications in disease states where transcriptional regulation is disrupted.
