ZFP2 Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects ZFP2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ZFP2 antibody (E-9) is available as the non-conjugated form. ZFP2, also known as zinc finger protein 2 homolog, is a crucial transcription factor composed of 461 amino acids and characterized by thirteen C2H2-type zinc fingers, which facilitate DNA binding. ZFP2 primarily localizes to the nucleus, where ZFP2 plays a significant role in regulating gene expression, thereby influencing various cellular processes such as differentiation, development, and response to environmental stimuli. The presence of zinc finger motifs is essential for function, as these allow ZFP2 to interact with specific DNA sequences, modulating target gene transcription. ZFP2 is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 5, a region associated with several genetic disorders, including Cockayne syndrome and familial adenomatous polyposis. ZFP2′s ability to recruit histone-modifying proteins through KAP1 interaction further underscores importance in chromatin remodeling and gene regulation. This makes ZFP2 a valuable target for research in developmental biology and cancer studies, as understanding function and regulation could provide insights into therapeutic strategies for diseases linked to aberrant gene expression.
