SEE ALSO...

ZDHHC22 Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects ZDHHC22 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ZDHHC22 antibody (C-5) is available as the non-conjugated form. ZDHHC22, also known as zinc finger, DHHC domain containing 22, is a 263 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that plays a crucial role as a palmitoyltransferase, facilitating the addition of palmitate to cysteine residues on target proteins. This post-translational modification is vital for regulating protein localization, stability, and interactions, thereby influencing various cellular processes, including signal transduction and membrane trafficking. The gene encoding ZDHHC22 is located on human chromosome 14, a region that harbors over 700 genes and is implicated in several genetic disorders and diseases, including Alzheimer′s disease and α1-antitrypsin deficiency. The ability of ZDHHC22 to modify proteins through palmitoylation highlights its potential as a biomarker for early detection of colon neoplasia, making ZDHHC22 (C-5) monoclonal antibody an essential tool for researchers studying these critical pathways in human health and disease.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514005 P appropriate for?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
