yrdC Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects yrdC protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-yrdC antibody (E-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. yrdC protein, also known as ischemia/reperfusion-inducible protein homolog, SUA5, or dopamine receptor-interacting protein 3, consists of 279 amino acids and is ubiquitously expressed, with highest levels found in brain, liver, and pancreas. yrdC protein plays a crucial role in regulating efflux transporter activity and cargo assembly, which are essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to stress conditions. As a peripheral membrane protein, yrdC contains a yrdC-like domain and interacts with RSC1A1, localizing to both mitochondrial and plasma membranes. The gene encoding yrdC is located on human chromosome 1, a region that spans 260 million base pairs and contains over 3,000 genes, many of which are associated with various diseases, including familial adenomatous polyposis, Stickler syndrome, Parkinson′s disease, Gaucher disease, schizophrenia, and Usher syndrome. yrdC (E-10) antibody′s versatility in multiple applications makes this product an invaluable tool for researchers studying functional dynamics of yrdC protein.
