SEE ALSO...

WIPI-3 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects WIPI-3 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). WIPI-3 (B-7) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. WIPI-3, also known as WD repeat domain phosphoinositide-interacting protein 3, plays a crucial role in autophagy and endosomal trafficking, processes vital for cellular homeostasis and degradation of damaged organelles. This 344 amino acid protein is characterized by two WD domains and seven WD40 repeats, which contribute to phosphoinositide and protein interactions involved in membrane dynamics. WIPI-3 is predominantly expressed in pancreas, heart, and skeletal muscle, with notable upregulation in uterine and ovarian cancers, highlighting potential as a biomarker for tumor progression. The gene encoding WIPI-3 is located on human chromosome 17, a region significant for high gene density and association with critical tumor suppressor genes like p53 and BRCA1, underscoring WIPI-3′s importance in both normal cellular functions and disease states.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514194 P appropriate for?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
