SEE ALSO...

Wip1 Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Wip1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Wip1 antibody (F-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Wip1, also known as wildtype p53-induced phosphatase or PPM1D, plays a crucial role in the p53 DNA damage response pathway and is a member of the protein phosphatase 2C family. This serine/threonine protein phosphatase is essential for regulating cellular stress responses, as Wip1 selectively inactivates p38 MAPK and dephosphorylates key targets such as ATM/ATR, Chk1, and p53, thereby modulating cell cycle progression and apoptosis. Wip1 is ubiquitously expressed, with particularly high levels found in the testis, highlighting its importance in reproductive biology. Notably, Wip1 deletion has been shown to impair T and B cell function and hinder cell division, which contributes to a reduced risk of tumorigenesis, making Wip1 a significant factor in cancer research.
