SEE ALSO...

WDPCP Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects WDPCP of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-WDPCP antibody (A-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. WDPCP, also known as C2orf86, fritz, hFrtz, or DKFZp686C12204, is a 746 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of two WD repeats and exists in three alternatively spliced isoforms. WDPCP plays a crucial role in regulating cilia formation and function, which is essential for various cellular processes, including signaling pathways and cellular motility. Proper cilia function is vital for maintaining tissue homeostasis and organ development, and defects in cilia can lead to diseases known as ciliopathies, which can affect multiple organ systems. WDPCP is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 2p15, a chromosome comprising approximately 8% of the human genome and associated with various genetic disorders. Understanding WDPCP function and implications in cilia-related diseases highlights its importance in both basic biology and potential therapeutic approaches.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514151 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
