  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 177-206 within an internal region of WAVE2 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of WAVE2 of mouse, rat, human and origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including and equine, canine, bovine and avian
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for WAVE2 Antibody (C-6) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with WAVE2 Antibody (C-6) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

WAVE2 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects WAVE2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-WAVE2 antibody (C-6) is available as the non-conjugated form. WAVE2 plays a crucial role in actin cytoskeletal dynamics, which is essential for various cellular processes, including cell migration, shape changes, and membrane protrusion formation. WAVE2 is involved in activating the Arp2/3 complex, which promotes new actin filament nucleation, facilitating actin cytoskeleton reorganization in response to extracellular signals. This function is particularly important in immune cells, where WAVE2 helps regulate lamellipodia formation, enabling leukocytes to move toward infection or inflammation sites. WAVE2 interacts with small GTPases such as Rac, which are pivotal in signaling pathways that control actin polymerization. WAVE2 expression is notably high in peripheral blood leukocytes, highlighting its significance in immune responses. Understanding WAVE2′s role in actin dynamics provides insights into fundamental cellular processes and has implications for diseases characterized by altered cell motility, such as cancer metastasis and immune disorders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good antibody for IFI used to work with the H-110 clone but as it has been discontinued, I asked for a free sample of this antibody. The picture presented on the website was not highly convincing as WAVE2 should be enriched at the leading edge. Although, I was really surprised because I have got a very good localisation in my cells. I have tested both antibodies in parallel and for the same dilution (1:50), signal was weaker for the C-6 clone but much cleaner.
