WAVE1 Antibody (30) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects WAVE1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). WAVE1, also known as SCAR (suppressor of cAR), plays a crucial role in actin dynamics, particularly in the regulation of membrane ruffling and the formation of actin filament clusters in response to GTP binding and Rac activation. WAVE1 is primarily expressed in the brain, where WAVE1 is essential for neuronal development and function, as WAVE1 facilitates the organization of the cytoskeleton, which is vital for processes such as cell migration, synaptic plasticity, and overall cellular architecture. The interaction of WAVE1 with the Arp2/3 complex is particularly important, as WAVE1 serves as a nucleation core that promotes the formation of new actin filaments, thereby driving cellular responses to external signals. Anti-WAVE1 antibody (30) enables researchers to gain insights into the mechanisms of actin polymerization and its implications in various physiological and pathological processes, including neurodevelopmental disorders and cancer metastasis.
