    SEE ALSO...

VHY Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects VHY protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). VHY (G-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. VHY protein plays a crucial role in cellular signaling as a member of the dual specificity phosphatases (DSPs), which are essential for regulating the activity of mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinases. These kinases are pivotal in mediating various physiological responses and cellular adaptations to external stimuli. VHY specifically dephosphorylates critical phosphothreonine and phosphotyrosine residues within MAP kinases, thereby modulating their activity and influencing cellular processes such as growth, differentiation, and stress responses. VHY is highly expressed in the testis, particularly in pachytene spermatocytes and round spermatids, where VHY localizes to the plasma membrane, indicating potential involvement in spermatogenesis and cellular signaling during meiosis. MAP kinase regulation by VHY is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to environmental changes, making VHY an important target for research in developmental biology and cancer studies.
