VacA Antibody (5E4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the VacA protein of H. pylori origin by immunoprecipitation (IP) and immunofluorescence (IF). VacA (5E4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. VacA protein plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of Helicobacter pylori, a spiral-shaped bacterium responsible for most stomach and duodenal ulcers, as well as being linked to gastric cancer development. VacA functions by altering the endocytic pathway in non-polarized cells, leading to the release of acid hydrolases and diminishing the degradation of extracellular ligands and antigen processing. This mechanism allows the bacterium to evade the host′s immune response, contributing to chronic infection. VacA forms transmembrane anion-specific channels that reduce the transepithelial electrical resistance of polarized monolayers, causing osmotic swelling and subsequent vacuole formation in acidic intracellular compartments. VacA serves as a key antigen in the human immune response to H. pylori infection. VacA interacts with cytotoxin-associated gene A (CagA), which induces morphological changes in host cells, including actin reorganization and alterations in the cell cycle, thereby enhancing the pathogenicity of H. pylori.

I would like to ask about sc-32746 L for neutralization. I want to use it to neutralize VacA in H.pylori's supernatant and treat for human cells. How long I should neutralize before treating cells and concentration for neutralization? Thank you so much!

I bought the L form of this antibody, sc-32746 L for blocking (neutralization). How long can I store this at in the refridgerator?

Asked by: AbPolly
The L form of the antibody should be stored at -20°C. Once thawed, we recommend using as soon as possible, although it is usually stable for up to 2 weeks at 4 degrees.
