    SEE ALSO...

V-ATPase C2 Antibody (S-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects V-ATPase C2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-V-ATPase C2 antibody (S-10) is available as the non-conjugated form. The vacuolar-type H+-ATPase (V-ATPase) plays a crucial role in maintaining cellular homeostasis by acidifying various intracellular organelles, which is essential for processes such as protein sorting, nutrient uptake, and the activation of certain enzymes. The V-ATPase is composed of a peripheral V1 domain responsible for ATP hydrolysis and an integral V0 domain that facilitates proton translocation, with the V1 domain consisting of nine subunits (A-H) and the V0 domain made up of five subunits (a, d, c, c′, and c"). V-ATPase C2, also known as ATP6V1C2, ATP6C2, or VMA5, is a member of the V-ATPase C subunit family and is specifically expressed in lung and kidney tissues. This subunit is vital for the proper assembly of the catalytic portion of the V-ATPase enzyme and may also possess a specific catalytic function, highlighting its importance in the overall activity of the V-ATPase complex. The ability of V-ATPase to pump protons against an electrochemical gradient is critical for various physiological processes, making V-ATPase C2 a significant target for research in cellular metabolism and organelle function.
