USP9X/Y Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects USP9X in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). USP9X, also known as ubiquitin specific peptidase 9, X-linked, is a crucial member of the peptidase C19 family of ubiquitin proteases, consisting of 2,547 amino acids. This protein plays a vital role in the ubiquitin pathway, which is essential for regulating various intracellular processes, including signal transduction, transcriptional activation, and cell cycle progression. USP9X is predominantly located in the cytoplasm and nucleus, where USP9X is involved in the processing of ubiquitin precursors and ubiquitinated proteins, thereby preventing their degradation and maintaining protein turnover. Proper functioning of USP9X is particularly important as defects in USP9X gene are linked to Turner syndrome, a condition that affects female development and fertility, highlighting USP9X significance in reproductive biology. Additionally, USP9Y, a closely related protein, shares similar functions and is implicated in male infertility, further underscoring the importance of these ubiquitin-specific peptidases in both sexes. USP9X/Y (G-10) antibody is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the dynamics of protein regulation and the implications of ubiquitin signaling in various biological contexts.
