UPIb Antibody (1E1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects UPIb protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-UPIb antibody (1E1) is available as the non-conjugated format, providing researchers with a reliable tool for studying this important protein. UPIb is a member of the uroplakin family, which plays a crucial role in the formation of the asymmetric unit membrane (AUM) in the urothelium. The AUM is essential for maintaining the integrity of the bladder lining, as it forms plaques that protect against mechanical stress during bladder distention.
