ULBP4 Antibody (C-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects ULBP4 in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ULBP4, a member of the UL16 binding protein family, plays a crucial role in the immune response by acting as a ligand for the activating receptor NKG2D, which is expressed on natural killer (NK) cells and certain T cells. The interaction between ULBP4 and NKG2D is vital for the activation of these immune cells, leading to the production of cytokines such as interferon-gamma and promoting the lysis of tumor cells. ULBP4 is located on the cell surface, where ULBP4 can effectively engage with NKG2D, facilitating the immune system′s ability to detect and eliminate transformed or infected cells.
