SEE ALSO...

ULBP1 Antibody (3F1) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects ULBP1 protein of human origin by immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-ULBP1 antibody (3F1) is available as the non-conjugated format. ULBP1, a member of the UL16 binding protein family, plays a crucial role in the immune response by acting as a ligand for the activating receptor NKG2D/DAP10, which is essential for the activation of natural killer (NK) cells and CD8+ T cells. This interaction triggers the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines, including interferon-gamma, and promotes the lysis of tumor cells, highlighting ULBP1′s importance in immune surveillance and tumor immunology. ULBP1 is primarily located on the surface of stressed or transformed cells, where immune cells can recognize ULBP1, thus facilitating the elimination of potentially harmful cells. Additionally, ULBP1 is glycosylated, which can influence stability and interaction with receptors, further underscoring ULBP1′s significance in modulating immune responses. ULBP1′s ability to stimulate cytokine production and activate various signaling pathways, such as the Janus kinase 2 and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/Akt pathways, makes ULBP1 a vital component in the orchestration of immune responses against infections and tumors.

Which secondaries are good for immunofluorescence? Do I need IgM secondaries?

Asked by: Kale
Thank you for your question. This mouse monoclonal antibody, ULBP1 (3F1): sc-53131, is an IgM and using an isotype-specific secondary antibody (anti-mouse IgM) is recommended. Alternatively, we also recommend using our mouse IgG kappa binding protein (m-IgGκ BP) conjugated to a fluorochrome, such as fluorescein (FITC), m-IgGκ BP-FITC: sc-516140. Other fluorochromes available include: m-IgGκ BP-CFL 488: sc-516176, m-IgGκ BP-CFL 555: sc-516177, or m-IgGκ BP-CFL 594: sc-516178. We have tested and confirmed reactivity of our mouse IgG kappa binding protein with mouse IgM.

I bought the L form of this antibody, sc-53131 L for blocking (neutralization). How long can I store this at in the refridgerator?

Asked by: Trav11
The L form of the antibody should be stored at -20°C. Once thawed, we recommend using as soon as possible, although it is usually stable for up to 2 weeks at 4 degrees.
