UHRF1 Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects UHRF1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-UHRF1 antibody (H-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. UHRF1, also known as ubiquitin-like, containing PHD and RING finger domains 1, Np95, ICBP90, or RNF106, is a crucial transcription and cell cycle regulator that belongs to the RING-finger type E3 ubiquitin ligase subfamily. UHRF1 is primarily localized in the nucleus, where UHRF1 plays a vital role in mediating the ubiquitination process, which is essential for protein degradation and cellular proliferation. UHRF1 contains a unique structure featuring one PHD-type zinc finger, a ubiquitin-like domain, two RING-type zinc fingers, and one YDG/SRA domain, which collectively facilitate its function as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase. UHRF1 directly interacts with Dnmt1, a maintenance DNA methyltransferase, ensuring stable association with chromatin, which is critical for the regulation of gene expression and epigenetic inheritance. Overexpression of UHRF1 in cancer cells highlights potential role in carcinogenesis, making UHRF1 a significant target for research in cancer biology and therapeutic interventions.
