SEE ALSO...

UHRF1 Antibody (28) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects UHRF1 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). UHRF1, also known as Np95, ICBP90, or RNF106, is a crucial transcription and cell cycle regulator that belongs to the RING-finger type E3 ubiquitin ligase subfamily. UHRF1 is predominantly localized in the nucleus, where UHRF1 plays a vital role in cellular proliferation by functioning as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase. UHRF1 facilitates the transfer of ubiquitin from an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme to target proteins, marking them for degradation, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating the cell cycle. Additionally, UHRF1 directly interacts with Dnmt1, a maintenance DNA methyltransferase, ensuring stable association with chromatin, which is critical for proper regulation of gene expression and epigenetic inheritance. The overexpression of UHRF1 in cancer cells highlights UHRF1′s potential involvement in carcinogenesis, making UHRF1 a significant target for research in cancer biology. Anti-UHRF1 antibody (28) is an invaluable tool for scientists studying the mechanisms of ubiquitination and its implications in various diseases, particularly cancer.

How much sample do you recommend loading on the gel for Western blot detection using UHRF1 (28): sc-136264?

Asked by: jenniferc
We recommend loading 40–60 µg whole cell lysate, 10–20 µg nuclear extract, 5-10 µg transfected lysate, or 10–20 ng purified protein per lane. A link to our complete Western blotting protocol is provided here for your reference. https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
