SEE ALSO...

UGT1A7 Antibody (B-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects UGT1A7 protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-UGT1A7 antibody (B-12) is available as the non-conjugated form. UGT1A7 is a member of the UDP-glucuronosyltransferase superfamily, which plays a crucial role in the detoxification of bile acids through glucuronidation. This enzymatic activity is vital for the metabolism of various drugs and xenobiotics, as glucuronidation facilitates excretion from the body. UGT1A7 is primarily localized in the liver, where UGT1A7 contributes to drug metabolism regulation and clearance of potentially harmful substances. The liver′s unique architecture and blood supply allow for efficient processing of these compounds, making UGT1A7 essential for maintaining metabolic homeostasis. Expression of UGT1A7 can be influenced by various nuclear receptors, which may lead to variations in activity based on physiological conditions or exposure to different substances. Understanding UGT1A7 function and regulation is important for elucidating drug interactions and potential implications for therapeutic efficacy and safety.
