Uev1A Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Uev1A protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Uev1A (H-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Uev1A, also known as UBE2V1 for Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 variant 1 and CROC1, plays a key role in the ubiquitin-proteasome system, where Uev1A interacts with TRAF6, a RING domain protein, to facilitate the synthesis of unique polyubiquitin chains linked through lysine-63 of ubiquitin. This specific linkage drives various cellular processes, including signal transduction and DNA repair, by helping regulate protein degradation and cellular responses to stress. While Uev1A lacks ubiquitin-conjugating activity in vitro due to missing a conserved cysteine residue, Uev1A expression in colon carcinoma cells inhibits differentiation upon confluence, suggesting a potential role in cancer biology. Located on human chromosome 20q13.2, Uev1A serves critical functions in cellular regulation and disease mechanisms.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390047 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
