Ubr4 Antibody (21-Y) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Ubr4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Ubr4 antibody (21-Y) is available as the non-conjugated form. Ubr4, also known as ubiquitin protein ligase E3 component n-recognin 4, p600, ZUBR1, or RBAF600, is a 5,183 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that plays a crucial role in cellular processes by localizing at the edges of membrane structures involved in actin motility. Ubr4 functions primarily as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase, recognizing and binding to proteins with specific N-terminal residues, which tags them for ubiquitination and subsequent degradation, thus regulating protein turnover and maintaining cellular homeostasis. Ubr4 interacts with Clathrin, forming meshwork structures essential for cytoskeletal organization and morphogenesis, and contains one Ubr-type zinc finger that may be involved in Integrin-mediated signaling pathways. Notably, Ubr4 has six isoforms resulting from alternative splicing, which may contribute to diverse functional roles in different cellular contexts.

I am using Ubr4 (21-Y): sc-100615 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
