UBN-1 Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects UBN-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). UBN-1 (D-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. UBN-1 plays a crucial role in the cellular response to Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection, particularly in the context of lymphoproliferative disorders associated with AIDS. UBN-1 is primarily located in the nucleus of human epidermal cells, where UBN-1 is essential for the regulation of gene expression and cellular signaling pathways. Nuclear localization of UBN-1 is vital for function, as this positioning allows direct interaction with various transcription factors and modulation of viral and cellular promoter activity, thereby influencing EBV reactivation.
