SEE ALSO...

UBE2A/B Antibody (G-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects UBE2A/B protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-UBE2A/B antibody (G-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. UBE2A and UBE2B are crucial components of the ubiquitin-proteasome system, which plays a vital role in regulating protein degradation and cellular homeostasis. These ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes are primarily located in the nucleus and at the cell membrane, where UBE2A/B facilitate the postreplication repair of UV-damaged DNA. The localization of UBE2A and UBE2B is significant because these proteins interact with key proteins involved in DNA repair processes, such as Rad18, thereby ensuring genome integrity and preventing mutations that could lead to cancer. Using UBE2A/B monoclonal antibody (G-9) in research can provide insights into DNA repair mechanisms and ubiquitin signaling in cellular stress responses.

I am using UBE2A/B (G-9): sc-365507 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
