UBC12 Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects UBC12 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). UBC12 (D-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. UBC12, also known as UBE2M, is a 183 amino acid member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family, which plays a crucial role in the ubiquitination process—a vital mechanism for regulating protein degradation and cellular homeostasis. UBC12 is particularly important because UBC12 is involved in the conjugation of NEDD8, a ubiquitin-like protein, to target proteins, thereby influencing various cellular processes, including cell cycle progression and signal transduction. The ability of UBC12 to facilitate the attachment of NEDD8 is essential for the regulation of protein stability and function, making UBC12 a key player in cellular proliferation and response to stress. Using anti-UBC12 antibody (D-4) in research can provide valuable insights into the mechanisms of protein regulation and the implications of ubiquitination in various biological contexts.

Are there any issues with using sc-390064: UBC12 (D-4) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-390064 conjugates.
