U2AF65 Antibody (MC3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects U2AF65 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-U2AF65 antibody (MC3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. U2AF65 plays a critical role in the splicing of pre-mRNA, functioning as part of the U2 auxiliary factor complex, which is essential for spliceosome assembly. U2AF65 is located in the nucleus, where U2AF65 interacts with pre-mRNA and other spliceosomal components to facilitate the recognition of branch point sequences during the splicing process. Proper localization of U2AF65 ensures efficient and accurate splicing, which is crucial for the generation of mature mRNA and regulation of gene expression. U2AF65 forms a heterodimer with U2AF35, and together these proteins are indispensable for the recruitment of the U2 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP) to the splice site, highlighting U2AF65′s importance in the intricate process of mRNA maturation.

Thank you for your question. U2AF65 Antibody (MC3): sc-53942 was raised against raised against recombinant U2AF65 of human origin. The epitope of this antibody on its target protein has not been determined yet, so the exact epitope region is not yet known.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works wellThe U2AF65 antibody works amazingly well in Western blot which gave us single band around 65 kDa in mouse kidney tissue at 40 ug total protein concentration . I found the most optimal dilution for the antibody to be 1:500, however it was still possible to detect bands at further dilution (1:1000).
