TSHR Antibody (A9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects thyroid-stimulating hormone receptor (TSHR) in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). TSHR is a critical glycoprotein located on the surface of thyroid follicular cells, where TSHR plays a vital role in regulating thyroid hormone synthesis and secretion. Anti-TSHR antibody (A9) recognizes a receptor whose activation by thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) initiates a cascade of intracellular signaling pathways that ultimately lead to the production of thyroid hormones, which are essential for maintaining metabolic homeostasis and overall physiological balance. TSHR is also implicated in various thyroid disorders, including Graves′ disease, where autoantibodies can aberrantly activate TSHR, leading to hyperthyroidism. The structural integrity of TSHR, particularly the third cytoplasmic loop, is crucial for function, as TSHR is involved in the regulation of inositol phosphate and cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) formation, highlighting TSHR′s importance in endocrine signaling. TSHR monoclonal antibody (A9) provides a valuable tool for researchers studying thyroid function and related pathologies, enabling the exploration of TSHR′s role in health and disease.
