TRPC4AP Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TRPC4AP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRPC4AP (B-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TRPC4AP protein, also known as transient receptor potential cation channel, subfamily C, member 4 associated protein, is a 797 amino acid protein predominantly expressed in the liver, heart, testis, and brain, where TRPC4AP plays a crucial role as a scaffolding protein. TRPC4AP protein is essential for interaction with tumor necrosis factor receptor 1 (TNF-R1), linking TNF-R1 to the IκB kinase (IKK) signalsome complex and facilitating the activation of NFκB p50, a key transcription factor involved in inflammatory responses. TRPC4AP gene, located on human chromosome 20, is subject to alternative splicing, resulting in multiple isoforms that contribute to diverse functional roles. Chromosome 20, which comprises about 2% of the human genome, encodes over 600 genes, some of which are implicated in various diseases, including Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, highlighting TRPC4AP′s importance in both normal physiology and disease states.
