Trimethyl Histone H3 Antibody (6F12-H4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Lys 9 trimethylated Histone H3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Trimethyl Histone H3 (6F12-H4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Lys 9 trimethylated Histone H3 plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression and chromatin structure as a key component of nucleosomes, which package DNA into a compact, organized form. Trimethylation of Lys 9 on Histone H3 is associated with transcriptional repression and serves as a marker for heterochromatin, essential for maintaining genome stability and regulating DNA access for transcription and replication. Understanding trimethylation dynamics helps elucidate epigenetic regulation mechanisms and their implications in development, differentiation, and disease states.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-130356 X be used instead of the standard form sc-130356?

Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Trimethyl Histone H3 Antibody (6F12-H4)This antibody didn't work at a dilution of 1:50 for immunofluorescent staining on the paraffin section from postnatal mouse lungs. I did antigen retrieval in citrate buffer and did not see any staining. We then ordered another similar antibody from another company. That antibody at dilution of 1:50 worked very well with the same paraffin section. The results at least confirmed our paraffin section and the staining method had no problem.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Buono per WB, non funziona in IFQuesto anticorpo funziona molto bene in Western Blot, ha una buona resa, pulita da bande aspecifiche. Invece per quanto riguarda l' applicazione in IF non sono riuscita a vedere alcun segnale né in immunoistochimica applicata a microscopia a fluorescenza, né in immunoistochimica applicata a microscopia elettronica a trasmissione.
