TRIM Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects TRIM in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRIM, or T-cell receptor interacting molecule, plays a crucial role in T-cell signaling by associating with the TCR-CD3ζ complex, which is essential for T-cell activation and immune response. TRIM is a type III transmembrane protein characterized by an 8-amino acid extracellular domain and an intracellular domain featuring four potential phosphorylation sites and eight tyrosine residues, three of which are implicated in interactions with signaling proteins via SH2 domains. The human TRIM gene is located on chromosome 3q13, a region associated with susceptibility to rheumatoid arthritis, and is situated near the genes encoding key T-cell costimulatory molecules such as CD28, CD86, and CD80. TRIM is predominantly expressed in T-cells and natural killer cells, with localization at the cell membrane facilitating interaction with CD3ζ and CD3ε, thereby modulating T-cell receptor signaling pathways. Anti-TRIM antibody (E-12) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers investigating T-cell biology and the underlying mechanisms of immune responses.
