    SEE ALSO...

TRFP Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TRFP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRFP (G-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TRFP protein plays a crucial role in the regulation of transcription within mammalian cells, functioning as a coactivator that enhances interaction between transcriptional activators and RNA polymerase II. Proper transcriptional regulation is essential for gene expression, cellular function, and response to environmental signals. TRFP interacts with key components of transcription machinery, including positive coactivator 4 and upstream stimulatory activity of RNA polymerase II and SMCC complex, thereby facilitating both basal and gene-specific transcriptional activation. TRFP (G-11) monoclonal antibody enables researchers to gain valuable insights into mechanisms of transcription regulation and implications in various biological processes and diseases.

Can TRFP (G-11): sc-374247 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. Yes, TRFP (G-11): sc-374247 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
