TREM-1 Antibody (2E2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TREM-1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TREM-1 antibody (2E2) is available as a non-conjugated format. TREM-1, known as the triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1, plays a crucial role in the immune response by amplifying inflammation and promoting the activation of myeloid cells, particularly monocytes and neutrophils. TREM-1 is selectively expressed on blood neutrophils and a subset of monocytes, but not in lymphocytes or dendritic cells, highlighting its specific involvement in innate immunity. TREM-1 is a glycoprotein that undergoes post-translational modifications, including glycosylation, which is essential for stability and function; deglycosylation can lead to a reduction in predicted molecular mass. TREM-1 forms complexes with DAP12, a signaling adaptor that enhances activating capabilities, thereby playing a significant role in the inflammatory response to pathogens.
