TRBP2 Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects TRBP2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRBP2 (D-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TRBP2 protein, also known as TARBP2 (Trans-activation-responsive (HIV-1) RNA binding protein 2), is a crucial nuclear protein characterized by three double-stranded RNA-binding motifs (DRBMs). These motifs enable TRBP2 to bind to the HIV-1 TAR RNA regulatory element, facilitating the activation of HIV-1 gene expression in conjunction with the viral Tat protein. Notably, the third DRBM located at the C-terminus of TRBP2 can interact with and inhibit the activity of protein kinase R (PKR), which in turn enhances the expression of the HIV-1 long terminal repeat (LTR). Furthermore, TRBP2 plays a vital role in the assembly and stability of the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC) by associating with Dicer, a key enzyme in microRNA processing. This interaction underscores the importance of TRBP2 in regulating gene expression through microRNA pathways, making TRBP2 a significant target for research in virology and gene regulation.
