SEE ALSO...

TRAF5 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TRAF5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRAF5 Antibody (E-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TRAF5, a member of the TNF receptor-associated factor (TRAF) protein family, plays a crucial role in mediating signal transduction from members of the TNF receptor superfamily, which is essential for various cellular processes, including immune response and inflammation. TRAF5 is integral to the signaling complex associated with the CD40 cytoplasmic domain, facilitating tumor necrosis factor-induced NF-kappa B activation and providing protection against apoptosis. TRAF5 is involved in osteoclastogenesis, highlighting its importance in bone metabolism and immune regulation. TRAF5 can interact with other receptors such as CD27, CD30, and the lymphotoxin-beta receptor, further underscoring its role in diverse signaling pathways. The presence of two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein adds complexity to its functional repertoire, while the structural characteristics of TRAF proteins, including their cystine-rich extracellular domains, are vital for their interactions and signaling capabilities.
