TRA-1-60 Antibody (TRA-1-60) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa light chain antibody that specifically detects the TRA-1-60 antigen, a carbohydrate epitope present on podocalyxin-like protein 1 (PODXL), also known as sialomucin protein, CD34 family member, glomerular podocyte cell surface marker, or hematopoietic stem cell surface antigen. PODXL is a heavily glycosylated transmembrane protein that plays a critical role in maintaining cell morphology and promoting cell migration due to its anti-adhesive properties. PODXL is prominently expressed on the surface of undifferentiated human embryonic stem cells and embryonal carcinoma cells, making PODXL an important marker for pluripotency and stem cell research. The TRA-1-60 antigen, which is neuraminidase-resistant and represents a sialylated epitope on podocalyxin, is associated with the surface of embryonal carcinoma (EC) cells, the stem cells of teratocarcinomas, and is coexpressed with other stem cell markers such as TRA-1-81 and Stage-Specific Embryonic Antigens (SSEA-3 and SSEA-4). TRA-1-60 expression is lost upon stem cell differentiation, making anti-TRA-1-60 antibody (TRA-1-60) an essential marker for identifying and isolating undifferentiated cells. TRA-1-60 (TRA-1-60) monoclonal antibody is particularly valuable for applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM), enabling researchers to monitor stem cell pluripotency and differentiation status, critical aspects of regenerative medicine and developmental biology studies. Additionally, PODXL expression, associated with tumor progression and metastasis in certain cancers, further highlights anti-TRA-1-60 antibody (TRA-1-60) significance. Notably, TRA-1-60 can also be detected in the serum of patients with germ cell tumors containing an embryonal carcinoma component, underscoring TRA-1-60 (TRA-1-60) antibody utility in both cancer research and diagnostics.

I need to use an antibody to detect the protein in samples of (other species, e.g., bovine, porcine, canine, equine, avian, non-mammalian) origin. Do you know if this mouse monoclonal antibody will work?
