SEE ALSO...

Tpk1 Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Tpk1 of Saccharomyces cerevisiae origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Tpk1 antibody (F-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Tpk1, also known as Pka1 or Sra3, is a crucial component of the cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA) pathway, which plays a vital role in regulating cellular processes such as metabolism, growth, and differentiation in yeast. Tpk1 serves as one of the catalytic subunits of PKA, which is activated by the second messenger cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP). Regulation of cAMP levels is essential for proper signal transduction, as cAMP influences various downstream effects, including gene expression and enzyme activity. Dysregulation of the PKA pathway can lead to significant cellular dysfunction, making Tpk1 a key protein for understanding yeast biology and its implications in broader biological contexts.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-374592 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
