SEE ALSO...

Tom20 Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Tom20 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Tom20 antibody (F-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Tom20 plays a crucial role in mitochondrial function as a component of the translocase of the outer mitochondrial membrane (TOM) complex, which is essential for the import of nucleus-encoded precursor proteins into mitochondria. Specifically, Tom20 acts as an import receptor that recognizes and binds to these precursor proteins in the cytosol, facilitating their translocation across the mitochondrial outer membrane. This process is vital for maintaining mitochondrial function and energy production, as many proteins required for mitochondrial metabolism and respiration are synthesized in the cytoplasm and must be imported into the mitochondria. The interaction between Tom20 and other components of the TOM complex, such as Tom22 and Tom40, ensures the efficient transport of these proteins, highlighting the importance of Tom20 in cellular energy homeostasis. Tom20 (F-10) monoclonal antibody is specific for mammalian Tom20 protein, making anti-Tom20 antibody (F-10) an invaluable tool for researchers studying mitochondrial dynamics and protein import mechanisms.

Do you have an antibody like sc-11415 against TOMM20 & produced in rabbit?

Asked by: erorivera
Thank you for your question. We currently do not have such an antibody produced in rabbit. Please refer to our monoclonal alternative Anti-Tom20 Antibody (F-10): sc-17764 instead. This antibody is available in different conjugation variants, which opens up options for co-staining and significantly reduces the risk of unspecific staining.

hi, Sir or Madam, your website showed Tom20 antibody in your company also reacted with the drosophila in WB, can you send me the article that has ever used this antibody in flies? thanks a lot.

Asked by: fifilu
Thank you for your question. Anti-Tom20 Antibody (F-10): sc-17764 was not tested for Drosophila and we do not have any data on it's functionality in these samples. It is recommended for detection of Tom20 of mouse, rat and human origin

this antibody should replace the old polyclonal "sc-11415" antibody. However, this one is mouse, and i am looking for an antibody coming from rabbit. Is it possible to still order the old antibody?

Asked by: Marisaa
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we do not offer sc-11415, and are unable to provide it for you. We are a monoclonal specific company and do not provide rabbit antibodies at this time.
