SEE ALSO...

Tom1L-1 Antibody (3F12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Tom1L-1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Tom1L-1 (3F12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Tom1L-1, also known as SRCASM or OK/KNS-CL.3, is a 476 amino acid protein localized primarily in the Golgi apparatus and is a crucial component of the multivesicular body (MVB) sorting machinery. Tom1L-1′s strategic location within the cell is vital for its role in the sorting and trafficking of ubiquitinated proteins, which are essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating signaling pathways. Tom1L-1′s GAT domain binds to ubiquitin, indicating involvement in the recognition and sorting of ubiquitinated substrates into MVBs, thereby influencing various cellular processes, including signal transduction and protein degradation. Additionally, Tom1L-1 interacts with key signaling proteins such as Fyn, GRB2, and PI 3-kinase p85α, and Tom1L-1′s phosphorylation state can modulate these interactions, potentially promoting Fyn activation and impacting downstream signaling cascades. By acting as an adapter protein, Tom1L-1 may play a significant role in the negative regulation of Src family kinases, which are implicated in oncogenic signaling, suggesting a tumor suppressor function by inhibiting the development of squamous cell carcinomas in the skin.

Are there any issues with using sc-130565: Tom1L-1 (3F12) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-130565 conjugates.
