TMEM70 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TMEM70 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TMEM70 (B-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TMEM70 protein, also known as transmembrane protein 70, is a crucial 260 amino acid multi-pass mitochondrial membrane protein that plays a significant role in mitochondrial function. TMEM70 is expressed in various tissues, including the pancreas, liver, muscle, and kidney, and exists as multiple alternatively spliced isoforms. Notably, TMEM70 is essential for ATP synthase activity, which is vital for ATP production and energy metabolism in cells. Mutations in TMEM70 have been linked to severe conditions such as ATP synthase deficiency and neonatal mitochondrial encephalocardiomyopathy, underscoring its importance in maintaining cellular energy homeostasis and proper mitochondrial function. The gene encoding TMEM70 is located on human chromosome 8, a region that spans nearly 146 million base pairs and contains over 800 genes, many of which are implicated in various diseases and malignancies.
