TLR4 Antibody (HTA125) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the TLR4/MD-2 complex of human origin by immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). TLR4 (HTA125) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TLR4 plays a crucial role in the innate immune system by recognizing lipopolysaccharides (LPS) from Gram-negative bacteria, which triggers a signaling cascade that leads to the activation of nuclear factor kappa B (NFkB) and the subsequent production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. This function is vital for initiating an effective immune response and maintaining homeostasis during infections. TLR4 is primarily located on the surface of immune cells such as macrophages and dendritic cells, where TLR4 acts as a sentinel for pathogen detection. Proper functioning of TLR4 is essential for the host′s ability to respond to infections, and dysregulation of TLR4 signaling has been implicated in various inflammatory diseases and conditions, highlighting TLR4′s importance in both health and disease.
