TLR2 Antibody (TL2.3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TLR2 protein of human origin by immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). TLR2 (TL2.3) antibody is available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, providing versatility for various experimental needs. TLR2, a member of the Toll-like receptor family, plays a crucial role in innate immune response by recognizing pathogen-associated molecular patterns, which is vital for initiating appropriate immune responses to infections. TLR2 is primarily located on the cell surface of immune cells such as macrophages and dendritic cells, where TLR2 acts as a sensor for microbial components, including lipoproteins and peptidoglycans. This localization enables rapid detection and response to invading pathogens, facilitating activation of downstream signaling pathways that lead to pro-inflammatory cytokine production and immune cell recruitment to infection sites. TLR2′s interaction with other TLRs, such as TLR1 and TLR6, enhances recognition of a broad range of microbial signals through a highly conserved Toll homology domain. TLR2 expression is particularly prominent in peripheral blood leukocytes, macrophages, and monocytes, underscoring TLR2′s significance in immune system′s first line of defense.
