TIPIN Antibody (4C9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TIPIN protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TIPIN antibody (4C9) is available as the non-conjugated format. TIPIN, or Timeless interacting protein, consists of 301 amino acids and is primarily localized in both the nucleus and cytoplasm, which is crucial for its role in cellular processes. This localization allows TIPIN to effectively interact with Timeless protein, facilitating essential functions in cell cycle progression and ensuring cell survival in response to DNA damage or replication stress. TIPIN plays a vital role in passing the ATR replication checkpoint, particularly when cells are exposed to UV light or Hydroxyurea, highlighting its importance in maintaining genomic stability. Human TIPIN shares a significant 72% amino acid identity with its mouse counterpart, indicating a conserved function across species.
