SEE ALSO...

TIP60 Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TIP60 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-TIP60 antibody (C-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TIP60 plays a crucial role in chromatin remodeling and transcription regulation as a chromatin-associated histone acetyltransferase (HAT). TIP60 function is particularly important in gene expression, as TIP60 facilitates histone acetylation, leading to a more relaxed chromatin structure that allows for transcriptional activation. Dysregulation of TIP60 has been implicated in various cancers, particularly due to TIP60′s involvement in fusion protein formation resulting from chromosomal translocations in acute myeloid leukemia. These fusion proteins enhance transcriptional activation through aberrant histone acetylation, highlighting TIP60′s significance in maintaining normal cellular functions and potential as a therapeutic target. TIP60 interacts with other proteins such as MOZ and MORF, which share functional similarities and contribute to the complex regulation of transcriptional processes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Detection of endogenous Tip60The antibody blotting 1:100 o/n 4C gave a signal at the right size with whole MCF7 cell lysate (40ug). The signal was reduced upon Tip60 siRNA treatment. More lysate or nuclear fraction would probably be beneficial for stronger signal.
