Datasheets
  • TGFβ2 Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ TGFβ2 antibody, cited in 1 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 343-377 at the C-terminus of TGFβ2 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of mature and precursor forms of TGFβ2 of mouse, rat, human and avian origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including and equine, canine, bovine, porcine and avian
  • m-IgG3 BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for TGFβ2 Antibody (H-6) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with TGFβ2 Antibody (H-6) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

TGFβ2 Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects TGFβ2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TGFβ2 antibody (H-6) is available as the non-conjugated form. TGFβ2 protein plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and extracellular matrix production, making TGFβ2 essential for tissue homeostasis and repair. TGFβ2 is primarily secreted by various cell types and is found in the extracellular matrix, where TGFβ2 influences the behavior of surrounding cells through autocrine and paracrine signaling. TGFβ2 is particularly important during embryonic development, as TGFβ2 regulates the formation of various tissues and organs. Additionally, TGFβ2 is involved in the immune response and has been implicated in fibrotic diseases and cancer progression, highlighting TGFβ2′s significance in both normal physiology and pathological conditions. The mature TGFβ2 protein is produced as a precursor that undergoes cleavage to yield a biologically active form, which requires dimerization for activity. With diverse roles in cellular communication and development, TGFβ2 remains a key focus of research in understanding various diseases and therapeutic interventions.

Regarding storage for long period of time (> 1 year). Can we keep this Ab at -20 in 50% glycerol ?

Asked by: calimero
Thank you for your question. We do not recommend ever freezing our primary antibodies. The antibody is vialed in a buffer than contains gelatin as a stabilizer protein, and when frozen the gelatin can sequester IgG out of solution and negatively impact antibody performance. For long term storage, we recommend storing at 4 degrees C. If you are concerned about contamination, then we would recommend aliquoting the antibody for long-term storage at 4 degrees C.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-374659 P appropriate for?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
