TFPI Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI) in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TFPI plays a crucial role in the regulation of blood coagulation by inhibiting the extrinsic pathway, which is vital for maintaining hemostatic balance and preventing excessive clot formation. TFPI primarily circulates in the bloodstream in association with lipoproteins such as very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and high-density lipoprotein (HDL). TFPI presence in the plasma ensures tight control of the coagulation cascade, particularly in response to tissue injury. Additionally, TFPI is a multivalent, Kunitz-type proteinase inhibitor that can inhibit factor Xa directly and also modulate the activity of the factor VIIa-tissue factor complex in an Xa-dependent manner. Understanding TFPI function and regulation is important for developing therapeutic strategies aimed at managing coagulation disorders and improving patient outcomes in conditions associated with abnormal clotting. Anti-TFPI antibody (G-1) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricacies of coagulation pathways and their implications in various diseases.
