TFIIA-γ Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TFIIA-gamma protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TFIIA-γ (D-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TFIIA-gamma protein plays a crucial role in initiating transcription from protein-coding genes in eukaryotes, a process essential for gene expression and cellular function. TFIIA-gamma functions within a multiprotein complex including several basal transcription factors, with TFIIA-gamma interaction being vital for proper assembly of transcription machinery. TFIIA consists of three subunits: TFIIA-α, TFIIA-β, and TFIIA-γ, which work together to enhance TATA-binding protein (TBP) binding to the TATA box, a key element in gene promoter regions. TFIIA-gamma′s regulation of TBP ensures accurate and efficient transcription initiation, influencing gene expression patterns fundamental to various biological processes.
