SEE ALSO...

TECK Antibody (YY05) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects TECK protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TECK antibody (YY05) is available as the non-conjugated format. TECK protein, also known as chemokine ligand 25 (CCL25), plays a crucial role in the immune system by guiding the migration of developing T cells within the thymus, which is essential for proper immune function and development. TECK protein is predominantly expressed in thymic dendritic cells, thymic epithelial cells, and the small intestine, where CCL25 acts as a ligand for the CCR9 receptor. This interaction is vital for the navigation of thymocytes, particularly during their maturation process. TECK protein has been shown to exert suppressive effects on immature myeloid progenitor cells that have been stimulated by various growth factors, highlighting CCL25′s regulatory role in immune cell trafficking and development. Bone marrow pre-pro-B cells and pro-B colony-forming cells respond to TECK protein, indicating CCL25′s importance in early B cell development, a response that diminishes in later stages. TECK protein′s ability to influence cell migration and differentiation underscores CCL25′s significance in both T and B cell development, making TECK monoclonal antibody (YY05) a valuable tool for researchers studying immune cell dynamics and thymic function.

Can sc-80344: TECK (YY05) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-80344: TECK (YY05) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
